Proper positioning of Autoglyph arrows
12/22/10 at 12:52:37

Dear Joel,

Sorry for bothering you again. I have a simple question about the positioning of arrows (rockets) made by Autoglyph. Suppose, I have a 3D vector data for points [x y z]. If i use Autoglyph (or Glyph), the arrow corresponding to vector [vx vy vz] turns out to have its tail at [x y z] while  its head locates at [x+vx y+vy z+vz]. I was wondering if you can suggest me a way to fix the center of arrows at points [x y z].

Thanks,
MSB

If you displace the positions by 1/2 the vector amount just
before Glyph or AutoGlyph, you'll get the effect you want.

Code:
-+-> Mark("positions") ---> (a)
 |                          Compute("a-0.5*b") ---> Unmark ---> Glyph
 +------------------------> (b)

Cheers,
Joel
