dxhdf5 module - compilation error
10/14/06 at 22:58:21

Hi,

I am trying to compile the dxhdf5 module

    http://www-beams.colorado.edu/dxhdf5/

on OS X Tiger with OpenDX 4.4.0, it has gcc/g++ 4.0.1 on the machine.

dxhdf5 fails to configure, on closer look, the README says the following:

        Use the same compiler
        ---------------------

To build the package you need to use the same compiler as the one you
used to build OpenDX and HDF5, otherwise dxhdf5 will not work.

When in doubt, compile new versions of OpenDX, HDF5 and then compile
dxhdf5.  Use the same compiler to compile OpenDX, HDF5 and dxhdf5.

Therefore, I'd like to know what compilers were used to compile OpenDX on OS X so I can try and match.

Cheers

OpenDX 4.4.4 is compiled with

powerpc-apple-darwin8-gcc-4.0.1 (GCC) 4.0.1 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 5341)
